Synopsis: The Star Trek Scouts defeat Shadowtrix in her plan to uncover a magic moon pearl to become the Master of the Galaxy.

Bottom of Form“Star Trek Scouts Rescue a Moon Alien!– Holodeck Rescues #8,” began with the Star Trek Scouts seeing on the circular display monitor, that today’s holodeck rescue would involve tracking down Shadowtrix who was using a Horta, a rock eating species, to dig up a mystical moon pearl, buried on the moon.
The Star Trek Scouts entered the program in their environmental suits and flew toward the moon. As they approached it, they ordered Shadowtrix to let the Horta go. Shadowtrix told them to stay out of her business. The Star Trek Scouts told her that rescuing animals was their business. Shadowtrix shot them with a green slime that imprisoned them until Sprocket utilized a setting on his bionic arm to get them out. Meanwhile, the Horta found the magic moon pearl. Shadowtrix then used a shovel to try to dig it up which caused moon quakes. Shadowtrix, the Horta, and the moon pearl fell into a crevice caused by one of the quakes. Sprocket engaged the tractor beam setting on his bionic arm to get Shadowtrix and the Horta out of the crevice, which left the moon pearl behind. Shadowtrix went back into the crevice to retrieve the moon pearl, in order to harness its power to become Master of the Galaxy. But the Horta took the moon pearl away from Shadowtrix and ate it, which destroyed its power.
In this episode, when the Horta, the animal that the Star Trek Scouts were trying to rescue from Shadowtrix, saved the day by taking the moon pearl away from Shadowtrix and eating it, this can be compared to how the unconscious part of an individual’s psyche acts in ways that the conscious ego cannot understand, yet are vital to the overall strength of an individual’s psyche. The study of the unconscious is the defining feature of depth psychology.
