Synopsis: Infinity and her crew travel to the coordinates given by a mysterious entity.

In “The Devourer of All Things, Part I,” Infinity arrives at the coordinates that Gwyndala (Gwyn) was given by a mysterious entity. They find an asteroid field. When the crew realize that the asteroids are being pulled toward something Gwyn suggests that the planet they are looking for may be between quantum realities, as she is. Adjusting the ship’s sensors for this, a planet appears before them. Landing on the planet, the crew meets Wesley Crusher, who is now a time traveler. It was Crusher who sent the coordinates to Gwyn. Crusher also tells the crew about Looms, which are a species of cosmic scavengers that feed on dead timelines created by temporal paradoxes. The Looms find them, but Crusher and the Infinity crew escape to an apartment on Earth circa1968.
In this episode, the temporal paradoxes between quantum realities, and the planet where the Infinity crew finds Crusher, can be compared to what Hillman called the metaxy—the place in-between the conscious and unconscious where psychic healing can occur. The work that Crusher does to repair damaged timelines from this place can be likened to the psychic healing that occurs in the metaxy, when the conscious ego acknowledges and integrates bits of unconscious material into itself; which strengthens it as well as makes the psyche more whole.
