Synopsis: Vash comes aboard the Enterprise to attend an archeological symposium, followed shortly thereafter by a visit from Q.
In this episode Q comes to visit Captain Jean-Luc Picard, to repay a debt he owes him for helping him get his Q powers back. When Q visits he brings with him the energy of the Trickster archetype. The crew never knows what is going to happen. But sometimes we need the Trickster energy in order to knock us out of our routine and to help us see things from a different perspective.
In Qpid, it is Q who goes to extremes, by turning Picard into Robin Hood and Vash into Maid Marion, in order for them to appreciate each other. That push from an unexpected direction that one needs in order to make us show both our vulnerabilities and find our unexpected strengths.
