Star Trek: The Next Generation Season 3, Episode 22: “The Most Toys”

Synopsis: Lt. Commander Data is kidnapped by a collector to be put on display.

This episode does not seem on the surface to have much depth psychological issues to look at, but I can think of one. Kivas Fajo believes that he is godlike – his ego is inflated. Lt. Commander Data is like the unconscious that an inflated ego thinks that it can control. But Data, like the unconscious cannot be controlled, and also like the unconscious will escape when the ego thinks that it is in complete control. “The Most Toys” ends with Fajo jailed in the Enterprise brig and visited by Data. Data tells Fajo that he cannot feel anything, not gloating. Yet the audience is left to wonder.
